Current BioData Ltd is developing the Targeted Proteins database, a new resource designed to meet the needs of scientists and others involved in drug discovery, research and development. Built in co-operation with the founders of Swiss-Prot, the world’s leading source of annotated information on proteins, the Targeted Proteins database focuses on a carefully selected number of protein systems that are of critical interest to our clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. For each targeted protein system, the database provides an enhanced view of the underlying information from Swiss-Prot, augmented with in-depth, expert commentary in the form of specially commissioned state-of-the-art reviews – all fully integrated and updated daily with reports on the significance of newly published papers, scientific meeting presentations and the latest patent applications. These are delivered to scientists through a configurable and intuitive web interface that is designed to support effective and efficient drug research. |
